Start with a Result You Can Trust

When your period is late, or something feels a little “off,” it can be hard to focus on anything else. You may be researching symptoms online, replaying timelines in your head, or wondering whether it’s too soon to get answers. The uncertainty alone can feel intense.

At Crossroads Pregnancy Resource Center, we offer no-cost, confidential pregnancy tests in a safe, supportive environment. Our team understands that this moment matters, and we want you to have reliable information before making any decisions.

How a Pregnancy Test Works

Pregnancy tests detect a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). This hormone begins to develop after a fertilized egg implants in the uterus. As the pregnancy progresses, hCG levels rise.

Testing too early can lead to a false negative result because hormone levels may not yet be high enough to be detected. For most women, testing one to two days after a missed period provides the most accurate results.

Common early pregnancy symptoms may include:

  • Missed period
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Tender breasts
  • Fatigue
  • Mood changes
  • Frequent urination

However, symptoms alone cannot confirm a potential pregnancy. Testing is an essential step to decide what comes next and what further information you need.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Your visit will include a no-cost pregnancy test in a confidential setting. After your test, a member of our team will review the results with you and answer any immediate questions.

You may qualify for a limited diagnostic ultrasound following a positive test. If you are considering abortion, you need this scan first. Confirming how far along you are and whether the pregnancy is progressing is critical for your health and safety.

You Don’t Have to Face This Alone

No matter the outcome, you will have the opportunity to meet with an advocate who can discuss your next steps and provide support.
